G’day Fearmongers,
This week we recorded our show live in front of an audience of people who all convinced their boss to pay $2000 a ticket for SXSW Sydney.
A success for everyone!
Of course as is tradition at SXSW, any who presents doesn’t get paid — except our performers thanks to our Patreon members. Chip in!
This year’s SXSW Sydney was the first time the SXSW brand has made it out of Austin Texas, and …….it was great.
There was a pinch of scepticism going into this week whether it would live up to the overstimulated circus that Austin has provided for so many years.
Sure, there was no Texas BBQ, but truly, it was excellent to be back in Sydney and bouncing around from venue to venue enjoying super interesting film, music and conversations.
The city felt alive, it was so great to see so many places awake and thumping with ideas and art. Sydney had an energy I hadn’t seen in years. I saw great music, premieres of films, super interesting talks, and I got to ride in a lift with Veronica Milsom, Julia Zemiro and Charlie Brooker.
Well done to all the team at SXSW Sydney — and thanks for having us.
On the A Rational Fear podcast live from SXSW we discuss The Future Of Everything.
On Climate — Milton Mango (Lee Conststable)
On Leadership — Antoinette Lattouff
On Transport — Chris Taylor
On New Zealand — Dylan Behan
On Democracy — Ed Coper
And on things that didn’t make it the Future — Dan Ilic (me)
Also we launched our very own VFTs — Very Fungible Tokens — so if you want to access those scan the QR code below.
It was a great live show — if you enjoy our shows — please flick us a couple of bucks a month on Patreon
Cheers,
Dan Ilic
